Arabian Salad Recipe (Fattoush)

  • 4-5 radishes, thinly sliced

  • 1 tsp sumac (a tangy Middle Eastern spice)
  • Juice of 1-2 lemons
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Vegetables:
    In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, radishes, parsley, mint leaves, and bell pepper (if using).
  2. Crisp the Pita Bread:
    Toast or fry the pita bread until golden and crispy. Break the bread into small bite-sized pieces and set aside.
  3. Make the Dressing:
    In a small bowl, mix the lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, and sumac. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Toss the Salad:
    Need to pour the dressing over the vegetables and toss until well-coated.
  5. Add the Pita Bread:
